Hello everyone. I am a professional photographer working out of Kansas City, Missouri. Photography is my passion, and the art medium through which I express myself the most. I believe that expressing one’s self is the most important, enriching, and freeing thing that we can do. I also believe that we are all very complicated beings, with many facets or sides that are all extensions of who we are, and all of which need to, and should, be expressed. Being ourselves, and expressing and celebrating all that we are, is what makes each and every one of us unique and beautiful in the universe, and capturing that uniqueness is what I strive for in my photo shoots. I am what I like to describe as an “in your habitat” or on-location photographer. In other words, I like to capture the uniqueness of an individual through working with them in the places, clothes, costumes, situations, etc, which allow a look into part of their essence.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a concentration in Photography, at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and I lived in Chicago for a few years, exhibiting my photographic and mixed media artwork at galleries all over the city. I have also exhibited my artwork at galleries in Miami, Florida; Saint Louis, Missouri; and Fort Collins, Texas.

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and left there with my family when I was a child. Since then I have lived in Madrid, Spain; New York City; Miami, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Saint Louis, Missouri; and I just recently moved to Kansas City, Missouri where I am excited about and looking forward to new, creative photo projects and meeting new people to photograph.

I think the fact that I have lived in so many places and have come in contact with so many different people is a big reason why I enjoy and appreciate the unique differences in all of us, and want to capture that with my photography.
