Hi: I've been fascinated with makeup since being a child. My mother was a model and I followed in her footsteps. I taught other models how to do their makeup and, when I was an airline stewardess in the Middle East, taught new recruits how to stay made-up in the extreme temperatures.

When I went back to the Middle East as an advertising executive, there were no makeup artists and work done in the UK didn't have the Arab look we needed to make real visual connections. So I did it.

My career progressed and I still did makeup in ads for the fun of it, but in the end, it won. I decided to do something I loved rather than just something to earn money. So I trained professionally at the award-winning School of Makeup and became a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist.

Since then, I've worked on TV, film, music videos. I've done fashion shows, high fashion to mother-of-the bride. My private work is makeovers and bridal work.

The kick I get out of this job is making people look, and feel, wonderful. It never ceases to amaze me how people come alive when they're made up and have fabulous hair. I'm passionate about what I do, and I do everything to the best of my ability. A bit of a perfectionist I'm afraid.

I'm joining MM because I continually want to try new things of new models. It's not just about experimenting, it's about perfecting.
