About the Dream

As cliche and kitschy as it sounds, I fell in love with the art of fashion at a very early age. Its because of this early infatuation that I can honestly say the world of fashion is what inspires me. I'm inspired by the punk-rock-randomness of Vivienne Westwood, the eclectic-DIY-true creation of Marc Jacobs, the bold-yet classy print work of Diane Von Furstenberg, and the bedroom-turned runway-fearlessness of Betsey Johnson.

My designs have been described as over-the-top, eccentric, unwearable even; which is fine with me. I'm not afraid to walk that line, or even take a few steps over it from time to time. I love being able to challenge people to step out of their box and into my world to experience and wear one of my creations that they never thought they'd like.

Besides the art of fashion, itself, my own life inspires me. I take everything that I love and hate, am annoyed or amused by, makes me laugh or cry, everything is able to serve as inspiration at one point in my creative process.

Music makes my world go round. Its everything to me. Its my strength and weakness, my inspiration and hindrance, my creativity and block, my voice and silence.

If you look at each of my creations you can kind of hear what must have been playing at the time. Some looks are very loud, bold, and over the top. Some looks are quiet, subtle, and sophisticated.
