Growing up on the East Side of NY is dangerous. Most black males are seduced into a life ruled by gangs and drugs. The promises of street life is more than just a temptation, it an option that many choose.

My mother was not one of these people. When I was very young she moved away from NY to the quiet suburbs of Sacramento. It was here in a quiet multicultural neighborhood that I learned to create from all influences. Picture a skinny west indian boy dancing around in a living room to his mother's records ( Andy Williams, Elvis, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly Stone ).


Lux Quaubas is a hot new addition to the world of fashion. He is a highly skilled abstract artist that has translated his visions on canvas to amazing fabrics, cutting edge denim, sharp haute couture and live couture performance. His sexy designs wrap you in color and seize the imagination. After years of sold out paint/performance shows on the West Coast, Lux is launching his unique brand in the South West and soon Internationally. Lux draws his influences from his diverse roots. Born in NYC, Lux is the child of Trinidadian Mother and a Guyanese Father. A child he spent months at a time in the islands, Europe and on the East Coast. His designs are modern, eclectic and daring. Each design starts with elements from a common fashion staple, is remixed with ingenious stitching, and then amped up with the spirit of Carnival. Lux has a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, a Masters of Arts from The University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and has taught at the prestigious Fashion Institute in NYC.
