My name is Ash Caywood and I am a licensed barber and the former Midwest Artistry Trainer for Smashbox Cosmetics. I moved to the Kansas City area from Baltimore, MD in fall of 2012 and I am eager to collaborate with other artists in the area.

My experience is broad and extensive. The majority of my work has been on the hair styling side of things and now I am looking to expand my make up portfolio as well. For hair I have worked shows back stage during NYC Fashion week for designers such as Charles Nolan, Jen Kao, Ports 1961 only to name a few. I have been a certified In Salon Color Educator for Aveda, specializing in hair color design. I had my feature film credit in 2012 as the Key Hair Stylist for the film Cowgirls N Angels starring Bailee Madison, James Cromwell and Jackson Rathbone. I received my second credit later that year for the soon to be released film Cherokee Word for Water as the Set Costumer.

Working for Smashbox, the only cosmetics company who's products are literally created in an operating studio (Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles), I am very familiar with the importance and skill of proper makeup application for print and film work. I am also a Certified MAC makeup artist.

Being a barber, I also specialize in men's grooming, classic and contemporary styles.

I am more than willing to work Time For Print as I am wanting to update my portfolio. However, depending on the job, I may require compensation for time, travel or supplies and it will be discussed prior to any commitment.
