About Me

Jason Scott Upchurch is an actor, model, writer, producer and director. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He now resides with his family in West Haven. He began his acting career on stage in Connecticut. He has performed in many productions in Connecticut and New York. He has been a part of stage productions like “Bus Stop”, “Heaven Can Wait”, “Second Samuel” and “Little Orphan Annie. He has had an opportunity to perform in television shows like Z-Rock and WWE Raw. Film projects that he has been casted in are “The Mercury Cycle”, “Sam’s Story” and “American Gangster”. He has also been featured in a variety of commercials for companies like U.I., FujiFilm, Honda and Nestle Waters to name a few.

Jason has studied acting technique and scene study at the Stellar Adler School of Acting, Housatonic Community College, T.V.I. Acting Studio and Stratford Theater Company. Jason has also directed two plays. His first was “How to Eat Like a Child” by Delia Ephron. The second was “The Kids in the Meadow” written by himself. These performances were done under his organization “Forecast Sunny The Future is Always Bright." This is a not-for-profit organization (pending) that brings arts to the community. Jason has volunteered for other organizations including “March of Dimes”, Positive Young Brothers and Sisters Mentoring and “Diamonds in the Rough, Finding the Spirit in Me”.

Jason created a talk show on public access television called “What’s Good?”. The show's name was eventually changed to “A Conversation with Jason”. It aired for 2 years on Soundview Media. Both shows showcased entertainers, public figures and personalities in Connecticut and Beyond. He had guests on his show like community activist Eldorado Anderson, musician Ladie Keyz and legendary Connecticut journalist Ann Nyberg!
