My work in the visual arts and music attempts, at its highest, to merge multiple genres into complete works. As a painter, sculptor, composer, musician, and luthier (builder of instruments), the advent of New Media philosophy in digital art has allowed me to expand as a photographer and animator/filmmaker, combining all of my classical approaches and using those techniques in the endlessly permutable digital realm.

Since deepening my portfolios in both classical and digital art, I've found it necessary to create a new account to focus solely on art created from the photography of both myself MM#1296109 and my wife MM#2494530 (together we comprise the core of an art collective called Philomusia Studios MM#2356181 which collaborates with artists & models on larger projects). My 2D and 3D work will still be seen on my original page, while my "portraits in pixel" and photocollages will have their own space here.
I began experimenting with photocollage in 2011 once I amassed a sizable portfolio of figure photography, where narratives began to emerge from a sequence of shots. In the editing process, I found that taking forced-perspective shots (I climb the walls and crawl the ground in search of those dramatic angles!) during the *evolution* of a model's pose could become the structure for a larger context in the genre of digital art, with superimposed iterations becoming kernelized elements of color and line, transfiguring the landscape of feminine figure by reiteration across multiple scales into a fractal Pangaea of new geographic explorations. So far, I still never know what is going to come out of a collage when I begin it, not the structure, the story, not even the size. I often keep expanding the workspace as the narrative develops until Photoshop crawls to a screeching halt, but the end result is a massively dense field of chaos and order colliding in color and form. These things are meant to be displayed on a large scale, but high-quality prints of any size are available for a collector's display (and budgetary) needs.
