I am currently a fashion design student at the Art Institute of Seattle. I will be graduating with my Associate of Applied Arts in Fashion Design in June 2013. I started at The Art Institute as a Fashion Marketing major, but switched to the design program a year and 10 months after I began school there. The reason for that was because although marketing comes naturally to me, I wanted to expand my skill set in an effort to give me a better chance at one day having a successful career in the fashion industry. I have been sewing for about a year and a half now and am currently in the process of creating garments for my Jr Collection. I joined Model Mayhem to network with others in the fashion industry and to have access to like-minded individuals. Being that I am a student, I don't have much disposable income. I am hoping that I can utilize this site to work with models, photographers, make-up artists and hair stylists with my primary method of compensation being trade.
