Caitlin Mathis (Wilmington, NC) was born in 1993 in Southeast North Carolina in a single parent home, where her mother supported her throughout her education not only academically but artistically. She has participated in workshops focused on the arts and was featured as a principle dancer in musicals such as Oklahoma and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She participated in Wilmington Early College High school, where she completed and simultaneously earned her high school diploma and
Associates Degree. She has been training and competing in art of dance since she was three years old, at Dance Express Performing arts Center, and 5.6.7.8 Dance learning the art styles of jazz, ballet, clogging, acrobatics, hip-hop, tap, and lyrical. She has also won many trophies and awards from her performances in dance competitions. Caitlin has performed in numerous talent portions of scholarship pageants and currently holds the title of Miss Southeastern North Carolina. She looks forward to continuing her pageant career by hopefully earning the title of Miss Wilmington and eventually Miss North Carolina. Her future plans and goals include finishing her dance and business degree at UNC-Greensboro, building up capital to open up her own dance academy, and continuing to perform on the side. She has had some modeling experience with freelance photography from photography students, professional photography by R Tracy Photography and Kate Toth Photography.
