between Washington Heights, in New York City; and Union City, New Jersey.
Rubio is both a unique singer and a rapper while Shorti is a rapper with an amazing talent for energetic lyrical delivery. While easy on the eyes, both brothers are extremely versatile, with an amazing talent for writing and performing great lyrics, memorable melodic hook, both in English and
Spanish. The boys made a splash in their hood with their raw street Latin Hip Hop and their Reggaeton songs since their first attempt at songwriting & rapping and singing in the streets of Union City, while fresh out of High School;
They first started recording under the moniker RNS and before they knew it, RNS was hot in the hood and being played on the radio on many mixshows on La Mega, Hot 97 and Z100. On the strength of their buzz alone they went on tours in Canada (Including performing as headliners at the Montreal notorious Merengue Festival), and throughout the U.S. Their blend of Latin and hip hop propelled them to open for big acts as La India, Pitbull, Aventura, Wisin y Yandel and many more. With more than 800 gigs under their belt to date including all major local festivals and Night clubs, RNS also had their gigs televised by Univision and Telemundo.
Recently Rubio & Shorti were introduced by chance to KULT-Records, a leading dance music label. KULT recognized the talents of the duo and decided to sign the team exclusively for the purpose of artist development .The result is a few explosive new songs, which clearly showcase Rubio & Shorti’s talents for writing and performing party records for the masses in all languages.
The lyrics of Rubio & Shorti’s have an hoody edge with a commercial underbelly laced with infectious melodic hooks that will likely appeal to many audiences around the globe; Everything they have done until now has led them to be “Ready to hit the ground running” and take the Latin and Mainstream markets by storm.
