I am a multiple award winning fine art photographer. My biggest award came from the Muskegon Museum of Art 87th Annual Regional Art Festival open to artists all across Michigan. This is the most prestigious art competition in Michigan. 725 art pieces were submitted and just over 200 made the show, including my entry. My fine art portrait won 2nd place. No photograph was ranked higher. No oil painting or any painting was ranked higher. Only a sculpture placed above my photograph. I love to capture people and to work with people. Photography is my side job, but I do it every day. I largely prefer fine art photography, but I love to do head shots as well. Fashion photography that focuses on outfits, instead of the model, is not a high interest to me. I'd rather find the beauty in a model's eyes or body and use light and composition to bring that beauty to life. I am not inclined to work with anyone who wants simple, dull portraits (e.g., for a corporate webpage) . . . I want to capture the beauty with light and composition. I want us both to finish and feel like we created art together.

I shoot a full frame Sony A7RII series camera with some of the sharpest lenses in the world. I only shoot prime lenses and I manually focus for all serious work to ensure perfect focus. I have lighting as well as being great at using natural light (as long as natural light is adequate).
