Louis DeVaughn Nelson (aka "DeVo") is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Hokum Arts. His works have been shown in many venues in the USA and Europe, from ballets to fine art exhibitions. Nelson was named Best New Choreographer by Philadelphia City Paper and has been recognized for his video work that delves into cultural and movement research. He received a top prize for “YouBahn”, a short film about art, culture and technology, at the CIANT Festival of Film and New Media Art in Prague.

He has modeled for internationally renown photographers in the USA and Europe and has worked for designers Charlie Le Mindu, Andre Bartenev, and Jylle Navarro.
