About Me

My name is Ian C. Minich and have recently moved to Baton Rouge. I am here to continue my education at LSU and to further my career as a fine art photographer. I am a graduate student at LSU and alternative processes in photography is my specialty. I am currently investigating the wet plate collodion process to produce final Ambrotypes, Tintypes, Cyanotypes, Van Dyke Brown Prints, Carbon Prints, Albumen Prints, Rubytypes, Photogravures, etc. I am very interested in meeting new people to model for my photographs. I plan to investigate themes in my work such as technology and how it affects our everyday lives and relating it back to something more primitive like nature itself. Femininity in the natural world and how it reflects on society today are just a couple of elements in my work. Please contact me if you would like to chat. I have a lot of great ideas and also love to collaborate and brainstorm with others. I'm very open to listening to others' input and conceptuality.
