Hi!

I'm Brad and I've been shooting since starting in college. I started with black and white film and an old Pentax all manual 35mm camera. I was hooked on creating images and seeing them later pop to life in the darkroom.

I was originally inspired by the beautiful landscapes shot by artists such as Ansel Adams.

In part because of school and work and the time needed to develop film, I gave up photography for a bit until about 10 years ago. Then when I picked up my first digital slr, I was hooked again! While I started with abstract and landscape photography this time found myself drawn to taking pictures of people instead of landscapes.

Today I do photography as a creative outlet. I love working with other creative people. And after all these years in digital, I'm beginning to pick up that old film camera again! Manual everything slows the process down, but I still love he results with film.

I continue to look for opportunities to create beautiful and striking images and to have fun while doing it!

I love to work collaboratively with others. I believe in creating a safe and fun environment space for my friends to be relaxed, "let their hair down", and be themselves. I believe creating that environment opens up new possibilities -- and that's why I use the name "Open Fate (f8) photography."
