Hi, I am a fine art oil painter. Much of my work is figurative and I am classically trained. All of my portraits or figurative paintings are either painted from life or from photographs. As you might imagine, a figurative painting can take many hours to complete. Although it would be ideal to be paint from a live art model, it's not always practical. Since I am now beginning to show in galleries, it is more important than ever that I have quality reference material to work from. Finding models, even for paintings, is not so easy so I've turned to Model Mayhem for help. Most of the photo-shoots take 1-2 hours with a variety of outfits depending on the theme or subject of paintings Im working on. Hopefully you can help me with my next painting!
