My artistic point of view, as well as what I believe is today’s world can be best expressed with rephrasing the famous aphorism as above. In our consumption society, images need no longer pretend to be real, because our experiences/observations/perceptions are predominantly artificial; even naïve claims on reality still needs to use hyperreal terms, as the imagery itself. That is the starting point of my imagery; I aim to precede the original and lose the distinction between reality and representation.

About me

I have been into photography for more than 10 years, and started learning the photography hence the light in the darkroom. I am a scientist and in my research I use quite sophisticated techniques and state-of-art imaging system to visualize the cells having with a resolution as low as 1-10 nm. So, I know the light pretty well both in theory and in photography.

I am making my living on protein research; and when it comes to photography, I prefer to be artistic and creative rather than commercial. I believe images should say something, carry subtext(s).

I love natural light; but I also own a studio. Use both depending on the requirements of the project.

I approach every shoot with the same professionalism, and I expect the same from the people I work with.

Finally, time is the most important thing and unfortunately it is irreversible. So, please don’t waste each other’s time.


*No, I definitely don’t do wedding photography, family shoots or so.
