Hi, I am an amateur photographer who just started about two years ago. The first camera I ever held was a pentax k1000, which my stepbrother gave to me. If you don't know, this is a completely manual film camera. Getting to know this camera is what sparked my interest in photography. This is what eventually lead me to learn how to expose correctly, how to use my aperture and shutter speeds, how to develop my film, and how to enlarge on silver prints in the darkroom. My first few subjects were experiments of things I saw outside and in. But I learned very quickly that human subjects were much more interesting. Therefore, my favourite types of photography are street and portrait, which heavily relies on human subjects. At first I was a little bit shy asking people if they wanted to take a photograph, but as it turns out very little people actually say no. In this way, my photography has become a very social aspect of my life, even though the post production is excruciatingly introverted. I like to surround myself with creative and passionate people, and that is part of my goal in my photography. What I want from this site is fairly simple, and that is to network. I want to meet these types of people, who are original, creative and are not afraid to push boundaries. So if you're this type of person, pm me, and I'm sure we will get along.
