Mia is the third child out of four girls, she was raised by her mother on the west side of Detroit, Michigan until her freshman year of high school. After working three jobs and barely making ends meet, her mom decided to pack her girls up and take them up north with faith in her pocket and a promise of a better future for her girls.
It took little time for Mia affectionately known as "Focus" to do what she does best…ENTERTAIN!

By the time Focus had completed high school the “Most Likely To Be Famous” young lady was already starting to make a name for her herself. She had accomplished extraordinary titles such as 1st Runner-up in the Miss Detroit Pageant and two time Miss Congeniality Winner in the Miss Michigan Teen and Miss Michigan Pageant where she also made it to the top ten as a finalist. Of course in the talent potions of the pageant Focus displayed her singing, rapping, and acting abilities which landed her exciting potential career positions.

After graduating from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, she worked for one of the hottest radio stations in Detroit, FM-98 WJLB, as a Producer for many years before moving on to pursue her other dreams. She has been in over a dozen music videos such as Royce Da' 5'9, Emimem, Obie Trice, Lil Wayne, and the late B.I.G. Proof just to name a few.
The multi-talented entertainer also known as "Mia Focus" was featured in the box office hit "8 Mile" (Curtis Henson, Director), as well as the "The Island"(Michael Bay, Director). She has done numerous national plays and was given a lead role in the hit play, “Lord All Men Can’t Be Dogs" also featuring AJ Johnson and Regina Bell. Mia Focus has worked alongside Dave Hollister, Kelly Price, Sherman Hensley, Monifa and Melba Moore in the hit stage play, “Where I Find My People“. She has also worked on the hit stage play "Church Girl" working alongside Robin Givens, Sean Blakemore, Anthony Grant, Karen Clark-Sheers, and Demetria McKenny jus to name a few. Focus has currently wrapped up her recent movie project called,”5K1” which also stars Clifton Powell, Melvin Jackson Jr. and rapper Yuckmouth. Focus also just wrap two movie projects "The Double" starring Martin Sheen and Richard Gear and the movie Harold and kumar 3. Focus spends most of her time doing hosting gigs, promotional model work, and print modeling for various urban magazines. She also writes her own music and continues to bounce from city to city auditioning for the next music video,film, stage, or television role.

Mia Focus was born to be in entertainment there is no doubt that everyone will soon be focused on MIA FOCUS!
