Mary Anderson was born and raised in Michigan. She is a driven entrepreneur who is pursuing a career in singing, modeling and acting. Mary has over 16 years of experience as a professional a capella singer. Her vocals are featured on a Catechism CD (2006), written by her late friend and mentor, Fr. Joseph Bitar. The proceeds benefit the Fr. Joe Poor Families Program in Ecuador. Mary earned a Bachelor (2008) and Master (2010) of Social Work. She also earned a certificate in Television/Commercial Acting (2014) from John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center. Mary has served as the a cappella soloist for Masses and events at a Catholic Church in Detroit, since 2001. She used to sing for monthly Divine Mercy/Rosary services as well as the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Liturgy at another Catholic Church in Warren (March 2012 - February 2015). Mary continues to sing professionally for special services (weddings, funerals, holidays, etc.) at multiple churches and venues; entertains for special events at a non-profit that serves seniors and numerous senior living residences; and shut-ins in the Metro-Detroit area. Mary feels blessed to have the opportunity to pursue her dreams and use her gifts to praise God. She hopes to sign with a record label, and wants to spread a message of love and joy through her music.

Mary used to volunteer for Volunteers of America, SOC (a non-profit that serves seniors each week, where she sang for seniors and assisted with office work for 6 years); a local animal adoption society, Capuchin Soup Kitchen & Simple Service Saturdays.

Mary is also very passionate about fashion and self-expression. She has over 5 years of fashion/runway, promotional and print modeling experience. Mary has served as a runway model for local designers Cheryl Zemke and April Tincher at several fashion shows/fundraisers. She was a runway model for Little T's Boutique at The Royal Ball Fashion Show in Chicago (a bi-annual fundraiser for Live Out Loud Charity). In June 2015, Mary was a model, voice over and on-screen actress for a Latin Mass Society commercial. When it comes to print modeling, Mary's hands graced the fashion section cover page of the Detroit Free Press newspaper (October 26, 2014). She was also featured in the 2015 St. Jude Charity Calendar by John Casablancas (December), Modern Model Magazine (March 2016) and Wake Up Detroit Magazine (November/December 2016). She is especially interested in doing fashion/runway, commercial print and parts modeling for major retailers, fashion designers and jewelers.

Mary earned two certificates from the Michigan Voice Over Talent Company (October 2016). She recorded commercial, audio book and character voice over demo reels. Mary's dream is to serve as the speaking/singing voice of characters for Walt Disney animated films. She has narrated/produced two audio books that are available for purchase on Amazon, Audible and iTunes. She has also served as a soundtrack vocalist for an indie film, a narrator for another indie film, and lent her voice to 6 ESL Assessment Tests.

She is also an onscreen actress. She served as a featured extra in a Kroger Commercial (2017), Hillsdale College TV Commercial (2017), a Vibe Credit Union Commercial (2019) and multiple independent fims.

She is dependable, hard-working and passionate about her career endeavors. She is looking forward to the exciting opportunities that are coming, just around the river bend.
