About Me

My Purpleport address, where I've focused more of my attention these days is:

http://purpleport.com/portfolio/evergreenphotography/?

Please look there for my references, since I haven't been working from Model Mayhem for a while. Hopefully that will change now that I'm back in Washington.

RETOUCHERS: Thank you for your interest, and I'm grateful that you want to touch my work and want to be friends and all. But Thanks, and NO. I do my own retouching, and asking me to let you retouch my work is like you asking me to let you lick my eyeball. Just gross. So, if you're a retoucher, wonderful, I admire your work, but don't ask to crowd in on my art.

I'm not a pro. I just want to make art.

I'm back in Tacoma now after a wonderful stint in London, and am really excited to meet new artists and work on lots of creative projects. I'm Scott, camera carrier at Evergreen Photography, relocated from London to the beautiful, lush, northwestern corner of the US.

I'm an artist at heart, and photography has become my main means of expressing myself.

I tried painting, and am very average at that. I tried sculpture, and I'm really bad at that. Photography, though, is something I really think I might be able to understand, someday. I'm slightly better at photography than I am at sculpture! I love light. I see the light in every moment of my day, and light is so beautiful in and of itself. Where light is most beautiful, though, is when it bounces off beautiful things. That's why I've started Evergreen Photography. I want to spend my days and nights painting with light.

Evergreen Photography is interested in creating beautiful images. While we love shooting anything from journalistic photo essays to landscapes, right now we're most intrigued by environmental portraits. Welove capturing a person in an image that gives a real sense of who that person is in their own environment. Really, though, we're most interested in making art, being inspired by beauty, and interacting with interesting people along the path of life. Oh, and We're also excited to work with new people, we all started somewhere, and I was given the chance once. I'd love to pass that on, so contact us at Evergreen if you like my work, no matter what your experience is.

If you are interested in working on a project of any sort, please contact me. I don't bite, and my ego was last seen riding a camel off into the dunes in Mongolia, so we would probably have a lot of fun working together on anything! I always have a long list of things I want to do, so please contact me and say hello! From there, we will build a project!

I'm Scott, at Evergreen Photography, and I really hope you like my work!
