About Me

In 2010, I began work with Prodigal Films (formerly known as "Pangea Light & Magic) on a low-budget, straight-to-cable/DVD horror flick called "They Rise". On the set, I applied my exemplary horror film expertise by 'creating' a horde of undead. I was responsible for make-up/gore effects using theater-quality make-up, as well as improvised special effects.

...But my foray into the movie industry didn't begin there, and it most certainly will not end there. From the age of 12, I've been fascinated by special effects and even spearheaded my first project; "The Dream", which was no more than a 15 minute 'horror film with a VERY light 'skeleton crew'. I 'MacGuyvered' burn effects with aloe vera gel (for blistering), mascara (for charring), and some maple syrup with red food coloring (yeah, we couldn't afford corn syrup on our allowance. ;) ). 'Ghostly' effects were cheated with a little 'camera magic (as much as can be done with a VHS camcorder), and just a few smears of ash from the fireplace. The result? Well... The important thing is that we had fun. ;)

...But it sparked an interest in cinematography and special effects that has not burned out.

As proud as I am of what I've been 'able to get away with' on no-budget/low-budget projects, I'd like to advance, hone, refine, and apply my innate creativity & skill to the film industry.
