I am Elyse Akira of Elyse Akira Photography. I am a published editorial photographer, makeup artist, wardrobe stylist and fashion show producer. I shoot natural lighting only. No studio or strobes, but offer organic gradients in looks and versatility.


I am interested in shooting editorials in Fashion, High Fashion, Lingerie, Boudoir, Avante Garde, Tattoo and Alternative, Steam punk, Designers, Events, Dancers, and Music Artists.

I am always receptive to building and expanding reliable teams of muas, hair dressers, wardrobe stylists, videographers and upcoming designers.


***I am selective about trade work. I will take trade only if it benefits both our portfolios or concepts are elective and personal (photography for a cause ie nonprofits, conscious documentary, goodwill etc). Please pitch me your ideas and we will go from there. I am based in San Francisco but willing to travel the bay area as long as gas/meal is compensated in regards to trade work.

TRADE WORK = Trade entails the full copyright of photos to my portfolio/promotion. I DO NOT release hi-res images without watermarks. I can dropbox edited and tagged images to you of SELECTION. If you are interested in having non-tagged work for an agency or for personal use we can negotiate an affordable payment. Editing takes about 2 weeks or less depending on priority of assignment. ***
