Hi there

My name is Michael I'm 30 years old and I'm an aspiring film maker.

I am an Adelaide based aspiring film maker with a background in photography as well as film making.

I am a film producer/director and also an actor. I also edit films, I'm good at lighting, sound design, DOP, colour grading basically a jack of all trades but producing, directing and acting is where my main focus is. I have been involved in 6 film productions so far I have been involved in directing and producing all of them in some way shape or form.

As much as I love being behind the camera I also love being in front of it and have been told that I have a natural talent for acting. I've acted in 2 films so far both of which are on my YouTube channel Sick Animals was the most recent one I acted in as the antagonist of the story I also wrote and produced it. I would recommend checking that one out as I think I did a pretty damn good job in that one and was impressed with how good I actually was in it.

I am looking to collaborate and work with creative people. Like many I am still learning my craft and I believe that you can never learn everything there is to know. Because the industry as well as technology is always evolving and you're always going to have to learn new things. Some of my influences and favourite directors I'll just go with my top 3 Quentin Tarantino, Alfred Hitchcock and Christopher Nolan.

I approach each film shoot with all my values and I hold my values very strongly. I always walk into every shoot with the utmost professionalism I highly value professionalism because I want people I work with to have a good impression of me. I want to leave an impression on people that says he was good to work with is damn good at what he does and has a very professional style.

Teamwork because I always believe that everyone involved in my production is just as important as each other. Without the team of people on my productions and team includes both cast and crew the production does not happen. I always like people on my productions to feel like they're all an important part of my team and I like to make my productions feel like a team environment.

Punctuality is something I hold true to I am always on time 9 times out of ten and for the one time I'm not I always call ahead and let people know I'm running late.

Organisation is very important to me as it reflects your professionalism if you're unorganised people end up standing around waiting. While they're standing around waiting and things are unorganised it's a waste of everybody's time. I am always organised and I always make sure that I have everything organised before my productions even begin. I have learnt the values of organisation from past experiences.

Creativity is obviously self explanatory I always approach my productions with creative ideas. I'm always thinking of creative ways to shoot my films and to show things the wheels in my head are always turning.

Lastly fun I like my productions to be a fun environment I want people working with me to enjoy themselves and have fun.

UPDATE
I've just started doing the pre production work on my 7th production which is probably the biggest one I've planned to date. The plan for this one is to make it a feature film eventually. But for now I'm taking a section of the story and making it into a short film for my uni production. Then I'm going to take it and put it on kickstarter to seek funding to make it into a feature length film.
