My name is Teneca I am a freelance makeup artist based in Chicago, IL. At a very early age I took an interest in fashion and beauty, I have not had any formal makeup training I have basically learned by trial, error and what some may call natural ability. I have taken lots of time to practice my skill by recreating magazine and Youtube guru looks. I believe that knowledge is the key to everything so I pride myself on educating myself by reading any and everything beauty I can get my hands on, researching and trying out new products and application methods. I am a very driven person and whatever I set my mine to achieve I do not stop until I am satisfied that I have done so.

I have currently been freelancing for over a year now on a part-time basis; I have done makeup for several photo shoots, a fashion show, and a hair show for a hair line and I also offer makeup services for special occasion. I would describe my style as being versatile, I enjoy enhancing features of the face making a person look and feel beautiful inside and out. I love color and when I just want to be free and out there and show my personality then I use bright bold colors.

My goals are to be able to take some formal classes/training, build my portfolio, and eventually go full time doing work that I truly enjoy doing, learning and expanding myself as an artist. I am joining MM because I know that it is a great platform to gather information about the beauty industry and there are opportunities for work that will help me get closer to accomplishing my career goals.
