For the past several years, I have primarily shot street photography. Perfect for NYC, as many before me have found, including Garry Winogrand, my hero. Street means candid photos of strangers; no models.

But all things must change, and my style is evolving. I am becoming increasingly interested in figurative and posed photography. Some of the pictures posted here on Model Mayhem show evidence of the change.

9/20: Over the summer, I spent a week with Shelby Lee Adams, learning his style of environmental portraiture. I also finished a (seemingly endless) project for the School of Visual Arts that utilized techniques that were new to me. A new project is starting to come together in my mind, and I may soon be seeking models for that.
