On the late evening of July 25th, 1993 there I took my first breath and entered the world as Jessica Nicole Peña. I was born, grew up, and I still live in Stockton, CA. My parents are separated, but I have four siblings, me being the second oldest. I have a German Shepard dog, named Ruby and she is a huge ecstatic fur ball that needs a lot of attention. My family is a huge part of my life, because they have molded me into who I am today and they still are shaping me into a better person. When you hear that saying, “It’s a gift that never stops giving”, that right there is about my family.

During my childhood I developed a love for Star Wars, video games, six-string guitars, and photography. According to my friends and family I have an unhealthy relationship with Star Wars and photography, but what do they know? During my high school years I found myself dealing with who I wanted to be in life, how to get there, how much time, and those sorts of things. Graphic design was embedded in my mind, but photography was always in the back lurking there. While taking graphic design courses at Delta College I soon realized that graphic design was not for me. Photography is my passion and something that I live for, so I changed my courses and made that my major. After I receive my AA degree in photography at Delta I’ll be transferring to Sacramento State College or University of Pacific to receive my teaching credentials while hopefully teaching at a high school nearby.
