For my own personal work I am always draw to the 'alternative', tattoos, body piercing and bearded gentleman. That is if these things are still classified as alternative? I believe that beauty is something much deeper than the preconceived notions that many of the glossy magazines would have us believe. However, that is not to say that these preconceived notions are not representative of some peoples ideals of beauty - after all its in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?

What I try to portray in my photographs, apart from the highly stylised lighting and locations is a sense of drama, but not only that - I try more than anything to portray a sense of pride and a certain confidence in the subjects that I capture.
