My name is Courtney, and I am a twenty-year-old female from Durham Region. I am currently attending Durham College for a two year Digital Photography program. I graduated from Durham Alternative Secondary School with an 87% average. I have received two awards for my writing, which is something I like to do in my free time, as well as reading.
To me, success would be working as a photographer or a writer somewhere, preferably at a newspaper or magazine. I’ve always dreamed about writing a column in a newspaper. I’d like to instill a sense of complexity in everything that I do, including my work, because I feel as though this world and the people in it, have become too simple. Technology is what keeps people like me in business, yes, but it is also the world’s biggest distraction. There is so much to see, so much to experience, and I’d like to be a part of bringing some of that to the forefront of our minds. I am hoping that one day I can make a difference in the world, be it via photography or writing.
I have grown up having to face many challenges, but I feel that each one that I have overcome has made me into the person I am today. The experiences I have had will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I often draw upon them to give myself strength.

In terms of what I would like from MM, I have to say that first and foremost, I would like to be able to connect with other models/photographers in my area. I'd like to be able to share my experiences with them, and hopefully get some advice in return. Secondly, I would like to put myself out there, to help out other models in my area, and set up some work. That would be just fantastic.
