I can do everything from basic portfolio headshots to realizing your most elaborate concepts.

I am Joseph Barbera, but you can call me Joe. I was born and raised in the mountains of Virginia and my appetite for photography started young. After given a camera from an uncle, I fell in love with capturing life in still frames.

After studying and completing a degree in audio engineering at Full Sail University, my creative self wasn't fully satisfied. I continued my education at CPCC located in Charlotte, NC studying photography. I began building my portfolio and capturing everything in sight. Since then, my passion for photography has grown and you'll very rarely catch me without my camera in hand. I have an insatiable curiosity and am constantly exploring new genres. In my mind, intriguing eyes and subtle expressions in portraits can be as captivating as a well composed juxtaposition of an old drab rundown abandoned building. For this reason, I do not specialize in one area of photography. My experience includes the following genres:

In photography, I not only found my calling and my profession, but I found definition for me as a person. I don't photography subjects or objects, I photograph the emotion they provoke.
