About Me

TL;DR - I have a genetic disorder (EDS) and I lost 160 pounds. I would like to dabble in modeling to raise money for EDS, and also just for fun (TFP).

I am open to TFP work if the shoot interests me, and it likely will. I even have some ideas of my own. It would be even better if I could to make a few bucks doing specific shoots, since my medical issues have made it impossible to hold a steady 9-5 job.

I love to dress up and/or be dressed up! I don't have a HUGE wardrobe, but I'm working on it. I particularly love 60s to 70s vintage. I have some local friends that do costume work, so I may be able to borrow some things. If not, I'm sure I could have custom things made for reasonable rates if you want something specific. I can't afford to put a lot of money into wardrobe for TFP shoots. I don't expect to make a career in modeling, but I also can't pay to model.

I hope that there might be some photographers out there who would like to do some shoots displaying my hypermobility, but also the less 'fun' aspects of having Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (like strange hospital tests, me wearing my intimidating looking braces after being injured from bumping into something, or me on my 'bad' days where I can't keep food down and look as sick as I feel).

May is EDS awareness month, and I would love to put together a calendar of 'sexy women with EDS' as a fundraiser (there are a few of us in Southern California). I also created the site I have linked here, http://edsregistry.org/ as a tool for other people with my condition to find each other for support.

I used to weigh 280 pounds, and had a body lift, so I have faded scars along the insides of my thighs and around my hips. I am not ashamed of them, they are sometimes visible in photographs (the scar terminates just above the inside of knee). I have loose skin on my arms from the weight loss. If I don't wear sleeves or a shrug of some sort, expect to have some post work to do if you don't want saggy arms in the shot!
