Marilyn Scavo is a professional photographer with almost 20 years of experience specializing in Boudoir, Lingerie, Artistic Nudes, Fitness and Corporate Photography.

She began her career with a passion which stems back to her early childhood years. At the age of 5, Marilyn purchased her first camera at a yard sale for $1.00. She began to develop her skills as her family witnessed her talents unfold into her teen years. Marilyn never dreamed of becoming a professional photographer, it was her passion, her hobby & her escape. At the age of 17, Marilyn loved to photograph her friends and family. In college she took a darkroom developing class and printed out a few head shots that she had taken for a friend. A fellow classmate saw the pictures and asked if she would be willing to take some sexy pictures of her for her boyfriend. From that day forward she began building a clientele of women who wanted sexy, classy and sensual boudoir style photos.

Throughout college Architecture was her career of choice until she traveled to Southern Spain at the age of 19 for a semester abroad to study Spanish Architecture. When she arrived she was overwhelmed with her surroundings and wanted to capture it all on film. She extended her stay and spent the year of 1996 photographing buildings, streets, windows & doors. Marilyn's ancestors are of Spanish decent and she felt inspired, at home and close to her family although they were so many miles away. Once Marilyn returned to the States she realized that designing buildings was not was she wanted to do, instead she wanted to capture them on film from a variety of angles and views in order to let others see what she sees. As her love for photographing architecture grew so did her female clientele. She soon discovered just how similar photography building and the human body where. "It’s just lines, lighting, and angles" she says.

Marilyn Scavo has studied and trained to be a photographer throughout life experiences, trial and error, and practice. She choose to become a teacher and changed her major from architecture to art education. She worked as an art & photography teacher for 8 years as she developed and mastered her photography skills. Marilyn then went on to work for a nationwide photography company as the Miami district manager, hiring training and supervising newborn photographers. Today Marilyn owns and operates a photography studio in Coral Gables where she not only creates but also educates. In January 2011 Marilyn developed and began offering photography workshops for adults. She began with 4 basic beginners classes and expanded to offering more than 9 different courses in less than 1 year.

Over the last 15 years Marilyn has photographed newborns, children and families, models and talent, nudes and lingerie and much more. Today Marilyn is returning to her roots and her original passions with architecture and interior photography along with corporate photography ranging from product shots to head shots, artistic nude and boudoir and fine art photography.
