Ever since I was 2 years old I had a camera in my hands, but wasn't until I took my first photography class in high school, that this was what I needed to be doing. I would sneak off to NYC on the subway very regularly rather than engage in the normal high school behavior. Photography is much more than a lens, a camera, and a roll of film to me, but comes from something within you. Its very visceral for me as every shot I take I want to be able to tell a story, what that story is to me may not be the story to the viewer but that's the beauty of visual art. I went to college for art, left early and came to California where I have been working in the film industry as a cinematographer and continue to take photographs everyday. Not matter what job I have done always revolves around an image whether it's moving or still. I am here to take and capture moments not fabricate them, I consider my self very simple and love to use juxtaposition in my work. I shoot on every medium of photography there is, whether its ancient processes like ambrotype or walking around with my Leica M 240.
