I began as an untrained, self-teaching amateur documenting what surrounded me through photography, and absorbed as much knowledge as I could. In the past four years, I have been taking formal art-based photography classes starting with the traditional and always potent 35mm black and white film cameras. There has been steady progression in my growth as a photographer, but I have found myself in a niche where my best work and what I am most comfortable with is documentary photography/photojournalism. I want to grow more and learn styles, including model photography, that I have avoided.
1930s to 1950s era Pin Ups, and the modern recreations have always captured my interest and I would eventually like to become a proficient pin up photographer.
