Philip K. Liao is a Taiwanese-American writer, director, and cinematographer. In 2008 he received a Bachelor of Science from New York University Stern School of Business. After spending some years working in investment banks in New York City and Hong Kong, he realized that his passion lies in filmmaking. Philip is currently pursuing his MFA in Film at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia in Singapore. He has served as director and cinematographer on narratives, commercials, and music videos throughout Asia and the United States. His work has been screened at film festivals around the world. Philip is working on post-production for his last short, Gao Jie Li (Scion) as well as developing a feature script, Payday, about a young man whose morals are questioned when he becomes an enforcer in a loan shark outfit.
