I was born and raised in West Virginia. I grew up a country girl riding horses bare-back, catching fireflies, and bonding with family and friends around a campfire in the yard. Unfortunately, a lot of people in the small town where I'm from don't care much for health and fitness. But I wanted to pursue this passion, and so I moved to Los Angeles, CA in August 2013.
I am a Fitness competitor. My first show was in March 2014, where I received 2nd place and qualified for the National Competition in Las Vegas in July.
I spend most of my free time snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, or working out at the gym. At first, my main concern was motivating myself. Get up and move. Get the training session in. Quickly, it transformed from a hobby to a lifestyle, and I saw that I was doing more than motivating myself; I was inspiring others.
First it was friends coming to me for fitness advice. Then family, then total strangers. Next, people came to say how I inspired them in other aspects of life, such as coping with the loss of a loved one. I've experienced the feeling of helping others, and it made me feel alive. I began to change my life.
I want to help others push themselves to achieve what they never thought was possible. I want others to know the feeling of reaching their goals as I have.
My hobby requires a lot of confidence. Keeping my body in fantastic shape is as time-consuming as a full-time job. Through this training, I've acquired the right attitude, experience, and looks to become a successful model.
I live every day with integrity and full of purpose. I want to identify with the fitness world, and never stop trying to learn and grow.
