Here is my "How I got here" story.

" I am an artist. There's no way around it. I knew it early in life when I was taken away from the traditional classroom, in 5th and 6th grades, by art teachers, to travel central KY drawing and painting still life portraits. Flash forward 10 years and you'd find me studying guitar performance at EKU. From there I have mostly expressed myself through writing and playing music. I even began building my guitars from scratch...One day my close friend, Karin, Showed me her fancy new Canon DSLR and let me play around with it. I loved it. It didn't feel like "snapping shots" with a point and shoot, or iphone. I immediately felt like there is an art behind using it to its full potential. With in a week I bought a camera. Then I bought a lens here and there. Then I got flashes and light modifiers. Next thing I know I have more than 100 hrs of online photography study. Nearly 80 hrs of in depth workshops from Creative Live, B&H photo talks, Kelby Training and random youtube content. I eventually decided to do what all the greats tell us to let the thing I love doing pay my way through life. Here I am. I'm currently building a home studio out of my old band room/recording space and travel both locally and to reasonably close cities(Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati) when needed.
