I am a Freelance Underwater Portrait Conceptual and Fine Art Photographer. I am currently attending the Art Institute of Dallas and will be obtaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography, next year (2015).
My interest and love for the UnderWater World developed through exploring my ideas and emotions of what I previously experienced while serving on active duty for 16 years in the United States Coast Guard. I was an Operations Specialist where my duties included several things such as Search and Rescue Operations, Pollution reporting, aircraft and vessel communications and direction, and intelligence with some personal security mixed in. Why am I telling you all of this now that I am a Freelance Photographer? Cause this is the essential focus and inspiration of my work. My very first underwater photoshoot was called "In the Ocean" and it was based my experiences with radio/telephone communications from boating accidents and other non-accidental deaths. It seems a little morbid but actually gave me the courage and passion to pour my heart into my conceptual ideas.....you can see this very first photo series here on my profile.... Now that I have talked much about me - I will tell you what I am looking for. Right now I am still a student and I am not for hire. I however would like to work with any model or any size and I mean any size - who is willing to get into the water and take direction in a humble manner and even better if you can see poses via images provided or descriptions given and just do it. I will accept any model that I see who could fit my particular idea for the water and I may choose to do a few shots above water - but this is only for certain ideas for a series. I prefer curvier models and I do not buy into the fact that models underwater or on land need to be of a certain size. Ha, when I first started my research for underwater photography - there was much out there in the way being a thin and fit person for not only the model but for the photographer.....and I am here to tell you that is bs. Anyone can model underwater and anyone can look fantastically beautiful and sexy - if you just look at the camera and move gracefully or as directed!! So I welcome all models of shapes, sizes, and height.....and I look forward to meeting great people on here. Please no solicitations for Nudes or etc photography, when or if I go that route - I will know who I am working with first!!!
