As a photographer, as well a dancer and choreographer, I understand the human form in a detailed way. I recently earned my MFA in Modern Dance, and have a breadth of theatrical work for both the stage and on camera (for a select sampling, please check out https://vimeo.com/user12007187/videos). I love photographing dancers, but I understand what it takes to coach non-dancers to feel comfortable with their poses and movements in front of both the photo and film camera.
I love my camera and my camera loves me. My goal as a photographer is to highlight the natural beauty of the people and places I photograph. Achieving a harmony of form, scene, and emotion is something I strive to create each time I approach my camera. I want to create art that invokes the ethereal, the fairy tales, the unearthly.
