About Me

My name is Swift. No kidding, my parents weren't hippies or Native American or anything, just weird.

Anyway, I'm a hobbyist photographer, for my day job I'm in the Air Force where I'm an EOD (Bomb Disposal) Technician. No kidding, my job is The Hurt Locker, only waaay more realistic...and boring. A lot of times that job sucks, you see a lot of very ugly things which is what led me to photography. In photography you are devoted to finding the beauty in things, which makes it a good counterbalance for me.

The biggest challenge in photography is people, landscapes sort of are what they are, it's just a matter of having the right gear and being in the right place at the right time, no offence to you landscapers. But people are harder, so if you're trying to master photography, you have to be able to get people right. And I don't have a lot of practice with that.

I'm hoping that by being here I can get that experience while helping models build the kind of portfolio that can get them into the next level.
