I am a minimalist. My favorite photos are almost all from photojournalism, spontaneous moments caught with whatever light and opportunity was there at the time. My photographer-hero is Lee Miller (if you haven't heard of her, you are missing out), and someday I hope to be able to say that my style resembles hers. I want all my photos, even those from the studio, to have the same flavor that a photograph snapped in the streets will have.

My other favorite photographer is Donncha O Caoimh, of inphotos.org. He has the ability to notice the things that most people simply walk past. As a result of trying to notice the 'little things', a lot of the photos at my website are macro still-life shots, and when working with people I like to focus on something particular about them--the way their mouth quirks when they smile, how they hold their fingers when they're reaching for something.

What do I want from ModelMayhem? Why models, of course. All kinds of models, from as many backgrounds as possible, as I build up my portfolio and practice my skills.

I am currently working on a Myths and Legends segment, with different takes on Hansel and Gretel, Red Riding Hood, the Woman in White, Bloody Mary, and local urban legends.
