I have worked with the figure for many years, I am interested in portraying the particular individual that is often strengthened by a straightforward narrative. The figures, which are usually female, may be wrapped or clothed to evoke a natural representation that may play off of an environment. I imagine the model as represented in my work as having some kind of eventful life that takes place beyond the boundary of the canvas, and I hope the viewer is drawn in to this world and willing to contemplate its possibilities.
