I love taking photos of creative people, hence most of my previous work has been portraits and performance shots of comedians, musicians, and actors/actresses. Lately I've been moving more towards fine art and nature photography.

What I look for in a model:
Personality, above all. I'm not the kind of photographer that wants to subvert and cover up who you are for my own needs- even if I have a specific vision I want to capture some element of who you are. I frequently find more inspiration looking through someone's FB/instagram feed than their portfolio, because of the joy and character that shines through photos taken by friends and loved ones. If you model for me, I might want to photograph you in your element, doing something you enjoy such as dancing, woodcarving, etc.

Compensation:
While I consider photography a collaborative effort, I prefer to have 100% control of my work and edit my photographs on my own time schedule. Consequently, I much prefer to pay my models rather than TFP. Also, you're working hard and I appreciate your time. That said, I'll happily provide a digital copy of any photos I end up using.
