Hi, I'm John and I've been a photographer since 2012. I do a lot of different kinds of work! I have a contract-pay-the-bills type of job with a college, but my real passion is when I get to work with a model or a small team of people to make our artistic vision come to life. Being where I am in my progression as a photographer, yes I'd like to be able to sustain myself, get paid for my hard work... but at the end of the day, money doesn't motivate me - art motivates me. We are not all born to trade paper with eachother until we die. Let's do something that proves that we're alive. If you feel you're an interesting person, and you'd like to work together, put that first. Let's worry about the other stuff later.

I try not to limit myself to any one style and I always love to try new things. It's important to have a plan for any project we start together, but it's also important to create an environment where we feel comfortable with eachother and can trust eachother. It's important for us working together to harbor an environment of both comfort and creativity. Some of my favorite images I've ever created together have been something we ended up doing that we'd never planned on, and came as a result of feeling comfortable with eachother, and trying something we thought of spur of the moment, but didn't originally plan on.

I am semi selective in who I work with. I always enjoy working with new people, but haven't had as much social comfort the last few years, and have been more shy than I once was with meeting new people. I want to work with people that have vision, that have drive. There's a lot of photographers and a lot of models that snap the shutter button and call it a day. I'm not here to do that. I'm here to create lasting art that inspires people and puts ideas in their head and passion in their hearts.

If you've worked with 100 different photographers in a year, I apologize but might be less interested in working together. If you have that many other people you'd want to shoot with, and aren't selective enough yourself in who you choose to create with, why would I want to be just another name on the wall? A 7 of Diamonds experience is a unique experience, and is something you look forward to, not just another photographer to add to the list. When I create with someone, we create a special relationship. I call most of the models I work with my friends, and if I want to work with you and you want to work with me to create together, it should be special.

I don't update or use my profile on here too often, but you can see more of my work on my FB page (link at top), which I update more frequently. I still check my messages and such on here daily and use this to find others to work with and you can still contact me through here anytime if you'd like to set up a shoot, but otherwise I can be contacted via email or my FB page.
