"I bumped into Svala quite unexpectedly when the photographer I was working with found out that she was travelling one way along the westernfjords of Iceland while we were travelling the other. It's so remote out there that our cars were bound to pass, and what a brilliant opportunity! It was a case of 'hello, nice to meet you, shall we pose nude together?' and we stepped across seaweed and out into freezing rocks and water on a beach and got into the duo mermaid zone. She is a pleasure to model with and very sweet, calm and confident, creative and dedicated, braving the elements wonderfully in conditions that many models would struggle with.
