Born and raised in Milwaukee, I grew up with 3 brothers, my dad and sometimes, my mom. I come from very humble beginnings, and have survived many obstacles that have made me the strong, resilient, determined, intelligent, focused and passionate person that I am.
I swam competitively for 15 years, and received a swimming scholarship to the University of Minnesota along with many other state and national titles. While on the team, I helped the Gopher's Swimming and Diving team win the Big Ten Champion title and received a ring for my efforts. My swimming career ended due to chronic shoulder injuries, resulting from unique morphology of my collarbone structure. I have no injuries or physical limitations now.
I am graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and an unofficial minor in biology. I want to continue with schooling because I have a thirst for knowledge and challenges. After graduation, I plan to maintain 2+ part time jobs, while finishing a few more prerequisites for graduate school. I plan to apply for a Physician's Assistant program in 2016. This is my lifetime career goal.
Taking interest in the arts as well, I have taken various photography and graphic design classes. Also, I have always loved art, so in turn fashion. I see my outfits everyday as a new challenge of combining things to make art. I would be identified as a hippie-edgy girl on the street. Once you get to know me, you'd realize my personality isn't modern-girly at all. I love sports teams, participating in various sports, adventures, exploration, outdoors and I enjoy getting messy and muddy for the sake of having a good time with nature. I've been deemed an "old soul" many times because of how little I use current methods of communication and much prefer talking to everyone and anyone I meet. You never know what you can learn from a stranger. I also LOVE working hard and being passionate in whatever I apply myself to.
After growing up very early to raise my younger brother and care for other family members, I have matured very quickly and am not your typical 22 year old. I study many human-related topics, and am well versed in nutrition, anatomy, epidemiology, biology, psychology and studied detailed lifelong development of humans; specifically in physical, cognitive, sociocultural, and behavioral perspectives. In addition, I am a healthcare provider. I work part time as a PCA and thrive in high stakes environments. I conducted research and completed my senior thesis on cocaine addiction and treatment, during which I spent a few years performing surgeries and attending to the health requirements of University of Minnesota's Rhesus Macaques and Rattus norvegicus.
As a result, I am very diligent and aware of my health and wellness and am able to apply my knowledge of people and physical sciences to all aspects of life.
Understanding muscle movements, lighting, framing, physics, and what it takes to stay healthy and abstinent from drugs and alcohol, I am a reliable and dependable client to work with. Long term I will only continue to perfect and succeed as a model when given the chance. I am someone who can create a flow of communication and trust, and can evaluate situations and environments and adapt my behavior for what is needed and appropriate. Easy-going, flexible, prompt, intelligent, and driven, I will be the easiest and most dependable model you've ever worked with.
