My name is Julie and I am a professional photographer based in Abbotsford BC, Canada. My passion for photography was born many years ago out of an always present love of art and creativity. I struggled with traditional learning as a child, and art was always an outlet that I could connect with and rely on for self expression. Having a mother who was an artist, the creative side of me flourished and I was always supported to learn and grow in my artistic expression.

Growing up I was obsessed with photography, and I vividly remember the day I received my first manual SLR film camera. I soon found that through photography, I was able to absorb information. It was inspiring to capture everything from emotions, abstract feeling and movement. With this as an evolving and growing passion, I decided to attend to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and in 2001, I completed my BFA degree with a major in photography.

I moved across the country in 2001 and after various freelance photo opps and working within the photography industry in other capacities for 6 years, 2007 became the year that I decided to take the leap into creating a new path for myself as a FULL TIME photographer! WooHOO! Quantum Images Inc. was born, and it has been growing ever since! in the past years I have grown and learned more about not only photography, but about the business and life as well. It has been an amazing experience!

My camera is an extension of me, I dance to the beat of my own drum, and value authentic relationships in life and in business. I love genuinely connecting with my clients, integrating my visions with theirs and developing lasting relationship with them. Ultimately, it is about creating experiences that they remember and images that they will love and cherish forever.
