I'm a portrait photographer based in the SF Bay Area.

I attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco for photography, hoping to learn everything about being a photographer. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue to afford tuition, and had to drop out (although I hope to attend again one day).

Still hoping to become a photographer, I took to the web, researching everything I could, and finally decided to start my own portrait business. I still continue to educate myself in not only the technical aspects of photography, but also the business side of things. I attend online and in person workshops, use the PPA's online classrooms, and have invested in quite a number of CreativeLive courses.

I feel I've surpassed using family and friends as models, and need more experienced models to use for my portfolio and personal projects. I'm hoping Model Mayhem will connect me with models, hair stylists, and make up artists that can help me build my portfolio and business, and also offer my assistance where I can in helping other artists and models reach their goals.

Currently, I shoot on location, in a friend's private studio, or out of my small home studio. I've discovered the amazing possibilities with using artificial light and love to create low-key images, but natural light will always be my first love.

I believe in the power of knowledge; not only for areas that directly effect my work, but also areas that effect my work indirectly. I study every chance I get, constantly working to improve my images and the service I offer my clients.

One day, I hope to be an international photographer, and even teach workshops to aspiring photographers. I want my name to be a pretty big deal in the photography world someday.
