About Me

Michelle spent the first 19 years of her life as an internationally competitive pairs figure skater. Upon her retirement she started diving into electronic music composition, fashion and graphic design. In 2007, her band embarked on two six weeks tours of Japan. This time period was very influential in pushing forward her love of fashion design and event creation. 2013 marked a new chapter in her evolution and lifelong involvement in the arts. In February 2013, she opened Moniker Gallery. The Moniker Gallery was a perfect fusion of her past and present interests. As a contemporary and progressive gallery, Moniker pushed the limits of the Toronto Art scene. In Jan of 2014, Moniker Gallery expanded to their neighbor location at 454 Richmond St. West, opening up Moniker Studios. Moniker Studios provided a professional creative working environment for artists to further their careers and artistic trades. In July 2014, Michelle closed the doors of both Moniker Gallery and Moniker studios due to the sale of the building. Michelle started a new career path, launching a fashion line Jojee Apparel in October 2014. Jojee Apparel brings together a unique and futuristic look for the women and men who like to make a statement. She is now happy to announce her current position with RAW:natural born artists as the Toronto Showcase Director and looks forward to organizing and curating amazing RAW events in 2015!
