My name is Agata Cardoso and I am a passionate maker of the photographic image. Using traditional practice, a black and white roll of film and my Bronica medium format camera, have been my permanent companions for the last ten years. Together they allow me to express myself through the medium of lens based art.
My subject matter focuses primarily on the body and its different states; the damaged body, the unusual, the unacceptable, the strange and the alluring; my work is of a distressed darkness. My aim is to challenge these ideas and push the boundaries of the photographic medium and of the hysterical body.

I am looking for Woman of sizes 14-20 particularly interested in bodies with skin conditions,traditional tattoos, basically bodies that do not conform to socially constructed ideas of beauty so, scars, stretch marks, etc. Ethnicity and colour of skin are unimportant to me.I would also be interested to photograph pregnant women.Most of my work is nude,but this is negotiable. I work closely with the model and always explain every detail of what the shoot will be, and I always make sure that the model is comfortable and happy.
