I started my photography career about 5 years ago shooting newborn and senior photography. My business quickly escalated to include wedding and boudoir photography.

I soon realized that I loved styling shoots and creating certain looks for my clients. I started selling my wedding packages more as a styled shoot rather than just generic wedding photography. My clients loved it. I focused on clients who loved the chic vintage feel to their images and soon had a large collection of props and furniture to bring along.

I have a large portfolio of images working with everything from newborn to senior and boudoir clients. I love working with women to inspire them as well as others to live abundantly and be the best version of them.

Connection between a photographer and her subject is huge and I find that creating a great relationship with the subject and getting to know them a bit helps to pull out their unique personality into the image.

Lighting is very important to me. I LOVE external lighting. Sculpting scenes and people with light is my favourite thing to do. The addition of external lighting creates drama, edginess and life that other images may lack. I use a variety of different external lighting including Alien bees with soft boxes, the mola beauty dish, Sky Lux with soft box as well as the Elinchrome lighting system.

I shoot with Nikon equipment and my Favourite lenses are the 65mm and 50mm primes. They give a beautiful soft bokeh effect that I love.

My goal is to switch directions with my photography business. I am looking to shoot commercial and editorial shoots exclusively. I am starting to build my portfolio in that direction. I want to travel with my work and create beautiful look books for clothing designers as well as shoot campaigns.

My goal is to be shooting that exclusively by this time next year and have established great contacts in the industry.

Being part of Model Mayhem will help me connect with models to build my portfolio and theirs. It will also allow me to meet and create relationships with other professionals in the industry.
